Connect Anywhere Safely With This App

Cisco AnyConnect is a business support app that will provide you with reliable and easy-to-deploy encrypted network connectivity. If you’re constantly on the go and need to have access to corporate sites or online file drives, you’ll be needing security while you’re out in public. Cisco AnyConnect is a good choice of a VPN app that gives a lot of features you can make use of.

A Product of Cisco

Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate that develops, manufactures, and sells networking hardware, telecommunications equipment, and other high technology services and products. Cisco specializes in specific tech markets, such as domain security and energy management. As such, alongside their other software products available for public use, they offer VPN services in the form of downloadable apps. One such example is AnyConnect, available for both Android and iOS. It’s targeted more towards businesses and such.

Protect Your Connection

Cisco AnyConnect is mostly a VPN app that gives you access to encrypted networks. This is pretty handy if you’re on a public network and need to work on some stuff you don’t want getting compromised. AnyConnect has tons of features. It will automatically adapt its tunneling using the most efficient method possible based on your network constraints, using various TLS and DTLS. If your IP address changes or you lose connectivity, AnyConnect has a network roaming capability, able to restore your connection as if it never stuttered. You can deeply configure your connections using the app, too. There’s even a Diagnostics tab for you to look at the status of your connection.

Might Not Be Fully Reliable

Compared to other VPN apps, Cisco AnyConnect is reliable enough for most. Sometimes, there are connectivity issues to be found, which is common with such an app, but most of the time, this app works well. However, it doesn’t seem to be for the average user, so if you’re not that great with techy stuff, try to find a more user-friendly app. Its connection seems to like fluctuating from on to off so customer support may be required if you plan on working with this.

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
